Using Microsoft Word

For some assignments in this course, you're required to turn in a Microsoft Word document (.docx or .doc). If you don't have a computer with Word, I recommend using a campus lab computer. You can even use Remote Lab External services from home. Alternatively, you can use OpenOffice.org External, which is free to download and use. You can use OpenOffice.org to create, save, and open Word documents.

When I score an assignment that's a Word document, I often use the Reviewing and Track Changes features. When you open a scored assignment in Word, if you don't see any comments, use this menu command: View: Print Layout. Then use View: Markup. There will be vertical black lines next to sentences with corrections.

My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind. -Albert Einstein (more quotes)
